About spine care

Just as regular dental care is required to maintain healthy teeth, regular chiropractic care is required to maintain a healthy spine.

The loss of health in a spine that has never had chiropractic care to restore and maintain spinal segmental motion is similar to the loss of health in teeth that have never had regular dental cleaning or dental care.

Today’s world is as hard on our spines as it is on our teeth. Human spines are nowdays exposed to an enormous amount of trauma. We now sit for an average of 32 years of our lives. Further, few people engage in activities which provide sufficient spinal motion and fitness to maintain spinal health and avoid spinal segmental loss of motion and spinal health degeneration.

Prolonged sitting and/or other sedentary behaviors, as well as lack of physical activity cause segmental scar tissue adhesions, inflammation, and bone density loss in the spine. This loss of spinal health and function doesn’t just cause spinal health degeneration; it leads to decreased functional ability, increased symptoms, and decreased quality of life.

The less care you take of your spine the more likely that it will be showing the accumulated effects of sitting trauma, postural trauma, sedentary living trauma, impact traumas, and deconditioning that reflect this lack of care.

Regular chiropractic care breaks up the scar tissue adhesions and restores healthy neurology, alignment, and sensory-motor neurology. This in turn prevents spinal health degeneration and maintains healthy spinal motion, healthy functional ability, and quality of life.
